The Earth’s crust is made up of many different types of rocks. These include granite, basalt, and oceanic crusts.

Besides extracting heat from aquifers, we can also exploit magma (molten rock) found in some places under the ground that can produce energy when tapped by a well.
This is known as hydrothermal energy.
